Description:   Opened: 2008-03-15 06:53 0000
mail-client/mail-notification-5.0 has been in the tree for ~2 months without
reported bugs and it also has better compatibility with the now-stable
evolution-2.12 series.

------- Comment #1 From Balazs Nemeth 2008-03-15 08:43:37 0000 -------
But sometimes, when it detects no network connection, it eats up the CPU.
I have to click on "Update" to make things back to normal.

------- Comment #2 From Hans de Graaff 2008-03-15 09:01:30 0000 -------
I haven't seen this behavior despite connectivity to one of my mail servers
being spotty recently. Have you filed this as a bug somewhere?

------- Comment #3 From Balazs Nemeth 2008-03-15 10:51:01 0000 -------
No, not yet. But I found this.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/mail-notification/+bug/182923

If I remember well, older mail-notifications had the same issue.

------- Comment #4 From Balazs Nemeth 2008-03-15 10:52:37 0000 -------
I forgot to mention. I'm using mail-notification to monitor one IMAP, one Gmail
(pop3) and one other POP3 account.

ppc stable

------- Comment #6 From Hans de Graaff 2008-03-16 08:27:00 0000 -------
Balazs, you may want to report this also on the upstream bug, so that the
mail-notification maintainers have more information to see a pattern. Given
that this problem is also present in currently stable versions and seems to
affect only few people I think we should still stabilize mail-notification 5.0.

------- Comment #7 From Christian Faulhammer 2008-03-16 08:54:45 0000 -------
so x86 stable

It's okay.

------- Comment #10 From Hans de Graaff 2008-03-17 20:02:00 0000 -------
That looks like a missing dependency on scrollkeeper. I've just fixed that in
CVS. Thanks!

------- Comment #11 From rupert angermeier 2008-03-18 09:17:17 0000 -------
you should add a useflag + dependency for net-mail/fetchyahoo and disable
support for live hotmail until getlive
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/getlive/) gets added to portage.

right now the gui shows support for both yahoo and hotmail by default but
neither works.

------- Comment #12 From Raúl Porcel 2008-03-18 14:49:01 0000 -------
sparc stable, closing, Ruper please open a new bug

------- Comment #13 From Hans de Graaff 2008-03-19 18:50:54 0000 -------
rupert, I agree with Raúl that you should have opened a new bug for this. In
any case it's no longer needed now as I've just added yahoo support with
mail-notification-5.0-r1. I haven't added a hotmail use flag since getlive
isn't in the tree.
