I think it's time to mark this stable now.

Unfortunately we do have 4 open regression bugs, but they are all small issues:

 - bug #208712: no sound when rebooting from 2.6.24 to 2.6.22 (this may well be
 a 2.6.22 bug - unfixable); only one report of this
 - bug #209786: atiixp encounters dma problems after a few hours
 - bug #210747: conservative cpufreq governor no longer increases frequency
 - bug #212588: hwclock broken (workaround available though)

All of them only have one reporter and are probably system-specific (apart from
the hwclock one which has 2). I'll be treating these bugs as high priority and
focusing on them soon.

As is sometimes the case, the new kernel brings a bugswap though, as 2.6.24
fixes the following bugs where we have not been able to backport fixes:
 - bug #178549: high distortion for 2 channel playback on VIA hardware
 - bug #198041: system sometimes hangs during boot (AHCI issue?)
 - bug #201271: 2.6.23 regression - no audio output

I'm using this kernel for some days now on a HP dv6535ep laptop, everything is
running fine.

Here are more details:
* I have Dynamic Ticks enabled (CONFIG_NO_HZ)
* I've worked around the hwclock problem (bug #212588) by using
  HPET instead. See bug #212588#c7)
* There is a new Conexant codec for my hda-intel sound card which is working
better.
* There is a new Broadcom Wifi driver (b43) which doesn't work, it gives me a
stack trace.
* I have a new kernel message which I haven't fixed yet:
  "Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -266675666 ns)"
  Maybe changing the clocksource to PM Timer will fix it.

System is:
- AMD Turion64 X2 TL-56 (running SMP)
- nVidia Geforce 8400GS

Tested on amd64, alsa, hwclock, nvidia, sensors, gamepad and virtualbox seems
to work fine. Also hal-0.5.9.1-r3 and lm_sensors-2.10.4 compile and work
