(From update of attachment 146221 [edit]) It seems that Poople_cairo is not installed but it sets "enable poppler-cairo" to yes. Perhaps thats already the problem

Perhaps thats already the problem hrm. I saw this and it doesn't fail here. Can you please try to emerge inkscape with this patched ebuild and report if it emerges and works? (The patch disables this poppler-cairo thing.
I emerged poppler-bindings again with cairo use-flag (wasn't set) and after that the UNPATCHED inkscape version was working. want me to still check the patched version?
