Bugzilla Bug 211286

The current stable version in Portage, 1.2, won't build with the doc USE flag
set. This new version seems to fix this problem.

Reproducible: Always

I verify this is stable on x86.
I was able to build app and generate javadoc with:
blackdown-jdk-1.4.2  ibm-jdk-bin-1.5  sun-jdk-1.4  sun-jdk-1.5  sun-jdk-1.6

x86 stable

dev-java/xstream-1.2-r1 on AMD64:

Emerges fine, No Collisions. I whipped up a little testcase to see if it worked
for anyone interested.[1]

Without java5 enabled: didn't work at all. Throws a nullpointerexception for
me...

With java5 enabled: Works fine with my testcase.
