On 2008-02-06 alsa 1.0.16 has gone from RC to stable.
Testing alsa-{driver,header,lib-utils}-1.0.16 locally in my own overlay. The snd-hda-intel driver survives a suspend/hibernate in this release, whereas the in-kernel 2.6.24 drivers do not. I'd really like to see these drivers get in the tree soon. I'd be happy to do any testing necessary to help out.

(In reply to comment #3) Two things: > alsa-driver is no longer supported by the ALSA herd and will not be updated > (unless a maintainer steps up). > This plain sucks (just my opinion, but I've seen similar on the forums) And the second - you've missed media-plugins/alsa-plugins

I would suggest CC'ing yourself on bug #207427 to register your interest. > And the second - you've missed > media-plugins/alsa-plugins This has now been done: +*alsa-plugins-1.0.16 (13 Mar 2008) + + 13 Mar 2008; Tony Vroon <chainsaw@gentoo.org> +alsa-plugins-1.0.16.ebuild: + Version bump, for bug #210249.
