Description Brent Barker 2008-02-12 15:15:35 UTC
After emerging kde-base/konqueror with the USE-flag "branding", I gained some web shortcuts. I enabled 'gp' and tried it. It went to a URL that was clearly not the right one, probably due to recent changes with packages.gentoo.org. The resulting site is http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=foo , with the error page returned:

404 Not Found
The path '/search/' was not found.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="branding" emerge konqueror
2. Open Konqueror, go to Settings > Configure Konqueror > Web Shortcuts and enable Gentoo Packages with the shortcut 'gp'
3. Type "gp:foo" into Konqueror's location bar and hit enter

Actual Results:
It went to http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=foo , with the error page returned:

404 Not Found
The path '/search/' was not found.

Expected Results:
It should have returned the search results using packages.gentoo.org search option.

This may be because packages.gentoo.org does not currently implement a search page. If so, then there should also be a feature request for packages.gentoo.org

I don't know, though, so I put it here.

I've removed the packages.gentoo.org shortcut.
Please reopen when packages.gentoo.org gets search functionality.
