It apparently fixes this nasty bug we have discovered in okular.

New stable release poppler 0.8.0 is out 

I'd recommend adding 0.6.4 as well, because i've had trouble building inkscape
and okular against 0.8.0

Actually, I am told that Okular 4.0.3 (tagged but not released) compiles
against poppler 0.8.0. (this is due out on the 2nd of April and will replace
the current 4.0.2 ebuild of Okular.

As for Inkscape the nature of that bug is not related to poppler and it has
been reported in bug 215299

hmmm poppler-bindings in tree hardmasked fails for me.

Nevermind this error, oneshot remerging poppler fixed it i think it was to do
with the ebuild i was experimenting with in my overlay.
