Description:   Opened: 2008-02-06 11:26 0000
gcc 4.2.3 released at February 1, 2008

Can't found any requests, hope it's not duplicate...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Look at http://gcc.gnu.org
2.
3.

------- Comment #1 From Mat 2008-02-09 00:41:41 0000 -------
please please also add gcc profile support for this release (hardened, pie,
etc.)

fedora has had gcc-4* (with hardened!) for years, with fedora 9 they're even
already switching to gcc-4.3 !

if this shouldn't be used with gentoo hardened, then MASK it, but please enable
people to at least try it (there are tons of gentoo hardened / gentoo selinux
users who want support for gcc-4*)

many thanks in advance

------- Comment #2 From SpanKY 2008-02-09 23:29:27 0000 -------
you're misinformed about the hardened status of things. please review the
facts before posting such statements.

------- Comment #3 From Leonardo Valeri Manera 2008-02-15 22:44:24 0000 -------
Regardless of the 'hardened status of things', any chance for this /minor
version/ update before 4.3 gets released? :D

------- Comment #4 From SpanKY 2008-02-16 22:26:13 0000 -------
it gets bumped when i have time ... no bug report makes a difference
considering toolchain@gentoo.org is on the gcc announce list
