Description:   Opened: 2008-02-01 19:44 0000
There could be people using this file-system and there's no current stable.
I'd like to include these tools on the release media, so I'd like to get it
stable ASAP (today), if that's alright.

Well, nobody's complained, so I'm going ahead with this.

enterprise ~ # hpfsck /dev/sdg2
*** Checking Volume Header:
hpfsck: hpfsck: Neither Wrapper nor native HFS+ volume header found (Unknown
error 18446744073709551615)

the value of the "unknown error" suggests me this is a 64-bit issue. As states
bug #183353 it was never tested on AMD64, and to me it looks like it simply
does NOT work on amd64. I don't think having this marked stable and on the
release media is such a good idea.

Strange... I could have sworn that it worked. At any rate, even if it worked
for only 1% of the people, it would be better than the 0% we have now. Of
course, it would be much better if it worked 100% of the time across the board.
Anyway, I'll look into this some more. It ships in Fedora, so it *must* work,
or they've got a patch. Either way, I'd rather include it, even if it is
partially broken, than not include it, at all. Of course, if it is totally
broken, there's no point.
