Description Paulo J. Matos 2008-01-30 22:22:28 UTC
1.1.15 is out. Renaming ebuild seems to work.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Alexander Hoogerhuis 2008-03-15 15:25:40 UTC
Seems to work for me too, across a few dozen machines. -A
Comment 2 Alexander Hoogerhuis 2008-04-26 18:58:10 UTC
Any chance of getting this bumped? Still running 1.1.5 fine here.
Comment 3 Wolfram Schlich (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-06-25 12:42:37 UTC
latest version is now 1.1.16...
hey, even ubuntu has 1.1.15 in 8.04! :P
Comment 4 Santtu Pajukanta 2008-07-16 07:29:24 UTC
Renaming the ebuild (to -1.1.15 or -1.1.16) works for me, too.

updated ebuild for rdiff-backup 1.2.0

This new ebuild also addresses bug #220003 and it is an update the next stable version. Please put this into CVS
Comment 6 Santtu Pajukanta 2008-09-03 13:15:02 UTC
This bug has been open for seven months. During its lifetime, it has been verified that renaming the ebuild consistently works through the 1.1 series, and a new working ebuild has been provided for the 1.2 series. However, rdiff-backup in Gentoo has seen no updates since 1.1.14.

Why are new versions of rdiff-backup still being held back? Does rdiff-backup even have an active maintainer in Gentoo?
Comment 7 Wolfram Schlich (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-09-03 16:21:24 UTC
In CVS.
