Description Klaas Decanniere 2008-01-14 14:35:55 UTC
Openoffice Help advises to install jmf to play sound&movies in presentations.
Installation seems successful, openoffice mediaplayer recognizes an mpeg file, but crashes (sometimes with a delay, sometimes immediately).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install jmf-bin
2. install class path in openoffice
3. open file in openoffice media player, press play

Actual Results:
Error message in Openoffice console is:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'com::sun::star::uno::RuntimeException'

Running jmf-bin-related binary "jmstudio" directly gives this error message:
Runtime link error - it appears that libXt got loaded before libXm,
which is not allowed.

an an additional page with the exact crash location

Expected Results:
moving pictures in my presentation (either using jmf or eg an mplayer-based workaround)

app-office/OpenOffice, version is 2.3.1
Openoffice finds 2 JRE's: sun 1.5.0_12 and blackdown 1.4.2_03
The Sun-version is selected, the jmf.jar classpath was added

java-check-environment ends with:

  * Java environment is sane. Congratulations!

java-config -L output:
The following VMs are available for generation-2:
1) Blackdown JDK 1.4.2.03 [blackdown-jdk-1.4.2]
2) Sun 32bit JRE 1.5.0.13 [emul-linux-x86-java-1.5]
3) Sun 32bit JRE 1.6.0.03 [emul-linux-x86-java-1.6]
*) Sun JDK 1.5.0.12 [sun-jdk-1.5]

java -version output:
java version "1.5.0_12"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_12-b04, mixed mode)
