Current stable version fails to compile due to bug #189271.
2.2.0-r3 is in the tree since September 2007 and has no open bugs.

Arch teams: please stabilize.

@vim.g.o: The ebuild is using gcc by default. Shouldn't the toolchain-funcs
eclass be used? Applying the following patch solves this:
