Description:   Opened: 2007-12-10 10:38 0000
Arch teams, please, stabilize dev-db/gigabase-3.61. Month in portage. Bugfixing
release.

To test that it works, I run the following tests:

        ebuild gigabase-3.61.ebuild digest && \
        ebuild gigabase-3.61.ebuild compile && \
        cd /var/tmp/portage/dev-db/gigabase-3.61/work/gigabase && \
        echo ./testddl && ./testddl && \
        echo ./testidx && ./testidx && \
        echo ./testidx2 && ./testidx2 && \
        echo ./testiref && ./testiref && \
        echo ./testleak && ./testleak && \
        echo ./testperf && ./testperf && \
        echo ./testperf2 && ./testperf2 && \
        echo ./testspat && ./testspat && \
        echo ./testsync && ./testsync

Thank you in advance.

AMD64:

emerge compiles & installs ok, the tests all succeed without errors (but there
was a warning on testidx and testperf2: 'Warning: may be not all fields of the
class 'Record' were described'). No rdeps to test.

may I suggest adding the tests to the ebuild test function?

pva, you removed the patch for current stable version of amd64 and s390.

gigabase-3.61 build failure

And 3.61 fails to build with -Wl,--as-needed.

This is a regression, after restoring the patch from Attic to allow building of
3.54 I've noticed above is a regression. 3.54 installed correct symlinks to
libraries.

Arrrg. Misread that as missing SONAME but anyway 3.54 had the NEEDED entries
too. Sorry about the bugspam.

Simon, thanks for notice about missed patch. I've returned it. And really,
seems that something became broken on amd64 again. UnCC'ing archs until I find
solution. Thanks.

------- Comment #10 From Samuli Suominen 2007-12-19 18:57:13 0000 -------
Running "eautoreconf" in unpack fixes the needed/asneeded problem (prolly cause
it implies libtoolize --copy --force)

amd64 stable, adding s390 back

------- Comment #12 From Peter Volkov 2008-10-09 18:17:09 0000 -------
Please continue stabilization in bug 240724... Thanks.
