Description SpanKY gentoo-dev 2007-12-02 23:32:36 UTC
yes, 1.7.4 is like 0 days old, but it is exactly like 1.7.3 (which is ~30 days old w/no known bugs) with a patch for inetd which is not enabled in the default configuration
Comment 1 Joakim Tjernlund 2007-12-03 06:57:18 UTC
The patch is about correction of the format for inetd.conf. 1.7.3 has
a bug that changes the format. Anyone that upgrades to 1.7.3 will
have a non functional inetd due to that bug. So 1.7.3 should be removed
from the tree.

Comment 11 Aidan Taniane 2007-12-13 18:47:25 UTC
uclibc/x86 unstable (wont compile)

I get the same build error with 2.6.

Since the only commonality between both systems is x86, that discounts profile, kernel, headers, and libc problems. What's left? busybox, I'd say that's relevant.

OK, terribly sorry to waste all of your time but sys-apps/busybox-1.7.4 on uclibc/ppc/hardened seems to have fixed itself. Please disregard my previous comment.

I upgraded gnuconfig and gdb, and I unmerged gettext - I can't think of anything else that could have affected it...

Never mind me!
