When checking for programs that wake up the cpu needlessly i came across a bug in timidity.  It will wake up the cpu 100 times a second even when it is not in use.  I searched around and found a patch by Stas Sergeev.  Can it be added into portage? The less wakeup the more battery life on laptops?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Install timidity.
start it up.
check powertop.
Actual Results:  
timidity will wake up the cpu 100 times a second.

Expected Results:  
not wake up the cpu needlessly.

There is already a patch at the site.

I tested it out and works.
Is timidity even maintained any more?
