net-misc/neon-0.27.2 was released on 2007-09-25.

neon-0.27.2 ebuild

New version with support for gnutls (instead of openssl).

This version should probably be hard masked as subversion doesn't even build
with it.

It would still be useful, because it fixed Audacious streaming problems.

Patch for subversion-1.4.5 to build with neon 0.27.2

This patch against subversion 1.4.5 makes it build here with neon 0.27.2
It seems to be just m4 magic for the version detection. Guess it did default
to 0.25 compatibility when anything but 0.26 was found.

Of course a 0.27.2 add to the "NEON_ALLOWED_LIST" is also needed.

I'm no big svn user so i don't know what tests would be needed.
I did a svn co on a http:// repository and that worked fine.

(I'm not the author of this patch, so at least the Arch Linux
folks seems to use it just fine)

This patch contains wrong quoting and is slightly insufficient.

r27007 from Subversion trunk could be adjusted to Subversion 1.4.5:
svn di -c27007 https://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk

Are you sure that Bug #140676 and Bug #148306 won't reappear?

I don't know. I'm no subversion expert. I only tested the client after making
it build with newer neon. If you're worried, you can remove gnutls support
again.
The reason i tried to get those 2 versions working with each other was because
the newer neon works better with Audacious.

Apache team, can we get this soon, but hard masked into the tree, plus some
tracker bug, please!? There are a number of packages using neon and they'll
need pacthing, too.
