Ebuilds for 2.1.7 and older should point to http://pari.math.u-bordeaux.fr/pub/pari/unix/OLD/pari-2.1.7.tgz Apparently they put OLD in the URL now... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Created an attachment (id=135511) [details] pari-2.1.7-r1.ebuild.patch No, it's not a problem with GENTOO_MIRRORS. It's a problem with SRC_URI. Here's a patch.
reopening so someone can take care of this.
As noted above, the thing downloads just perfectly fine from gentoo mirrors...
