Yah, we are aware... not supposed to run tests as root.
I runned 'USE=ogg ebuild flac-1.2.1-r1.ebuild test' from user not from root
The same bug here. Emerge log is big (11MB tar.bz2) so I can send it if someone wants. Any status on this? I'm getting test failures still and I'm just running emerge flac. I've tested this a bit and I've narrowed it down to FEATURES="userpriv". With it, the tests all pass; without it, the tests fail as described above. The tests for this package require a significant amount of time, even on a relatively powerful system compiling entirely in ramfs. Please take care of this so we can stop wasting time for testers, thanks!! :)

Using commit message: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Revert commit for bug 173464, it doesn't solve the entire problem. Stop wasting time with this too long, and known to fail testsuite wrt #197122.
