i think 2.6.1 should be good for 2007.1

this of course implies no linux-2.4

------- Comment #1 From Christian Faulhammer 2007-10-11 05:55:32 0000 -------
Before I post huge build.logs...is the test suite expected to fail? x86 here.

------- Comment #2 From SpanKY 2007-10-11 05:56:56 0000 -------
there are known failures ... i'd just compare it to the failures in glibc-2.5
and make sure there arent any serious regressions

AMD64 glibc build log

AMD64:

tests fail - full build log attached. Otherwise compiles fine when tests are
disabled, all the packages I've tested that directly depend on glibc compile
ok, and I've experienced no problems so far running it on my system

vapier: Any reason hppa is not included?

------- Comment #7 From SpanKY 2007-10-14 21:11:56 0000 -------
hppa would need to be KEYWORD-ed in the first place ... it isnt and it isnt
going to build unless someone updates the hppa patchset for 2.6.x

Fails to build here (amd64) with:

soinit.c:23: error: __EH_FRAME_BEGIN__ causes a section type conflict

which I'm not really sure what means.

$ LC_ALL=C gcc --version
