From /etc/init.d/sendmail:

All right, but when i trying to call "/etc/init.d/sendmail stop" script kills
itself =)

pivo apache2 # /etc/init.d/sendmail stop
 * Stopping sendmail ...
 * sendmail: caught SIGTERM, aborting

This is odd, I can't reproduce this on 4 boxes I have with sendmail on it nor I
ever encountered it. Maybe a timing issue?

I'll change the script so that it uses /var/run/sendmail.pid next week anyway.

commited fix (you will have to re-emerge), please re-open if necessary.
