Description:   Opened: 2007-09-16 22:19 0000
There's a peculiar problem of a missing dependency in
app-office/kformula, which I'm not going to blame you
guys for, because it's rather unintuitive and subopti-
mal from KDE's end ;-).

First of, KFormula will not start successfully when
the fonts kioslave is unavailable; it will fail with
the following error message:

"Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'fonts'."

Unfortunately the fonts kioslave is not part of the
kde-base/kdebase-kioslaves package, because it's not
in the respective directory structure in the kdebase
module as we ship it. Instead it's part of the KCon-
trol package, because the slave is provided by the
kfontinstall KControl module in the kcontrol/ dir.

Thus KFormula needs to depend on kde-base/kcontrol to
function.

Reproducible: Always

And to lift your spirits: Debian has the same bug.

Fixed in CVS, thanks for reporting.
