after unpacking I see
QA notice: USE flag ese not in IUSE
comes from
pkg_setup() {
        G2CONF="${G2CONF} $(use_enable ipv6) $(use_enable ese vumeter)
        --disable-esdtest"
}
It should probably read $(use_enable esd vumeter)
