sshfs-1.8 crashes while performing file transfers Please see the link for details. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Please see the link. Actual Results: One of many file transfer operations will fail. Sometimes segfaults. Expected Results: All should succeed. I have more output and core dumps if need be. I think this is an upstream problem, but I'd like to see if anyone else can reproduce this. sshfs-fuse-1.[67] both work. emerge --info: Portage 2.1.2.12 (default-linux/ppc/ppc64/2007.0/32bit-userland/970, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.5-r4, 2.6.20-gentoo-r5 ppc64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.20-gentoo-r5 ppc64 PPC970FX, altivec supported Gentoo Base System release 1.12.9 Timestamp of tree: Tue, 11 Sep 2007 06:00:01 +0000 ccache version 2.4 [enabled] app-shells/bash: 3.2_p17 dev-lang/python: 2.4.4-r4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r6 dev-util/ccache: 2.4-r7 sys-apps/baselayout: 1.12.9-r2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.17 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.61-r1 sys-devel/automake: 1.6.3, 1.9.6-r2, 1.10 sys-devel/binutils: 2.17 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.16 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.24 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.17-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="ppc" CBUILD="powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mtune=970 -mcpu=970 -maltivec -mabi=altivec" CHOST="powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/gconf /etc/hotplug /etc/hotplug.d /etc/init.d /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/terminfo /etc/udev" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -pipe -mtune=970 -mcpu=970 -maltivec -mabi=altivec" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig buildpkg ccache collision-protect distlocks metadata-transfer parallel-fetch sandbox sfperms strict userfetch" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.chem.wisc.edu/gentoo http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j4" PKGDIR="/mnt/build/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages --filter=H_**/files/digest-*" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/mnt/build/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/mnt/build/portage-local" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="a52 aac acl alsa altivec apm asf bash-completion berkdb bzip2 caps chroot cli cracklib crypt dri dts dv dvd encode erandom fam fbcon ffmpeg fortran gcc64 gdbm gmp gpm id3 ieee1394 imlib jpeg lame libg++ live logrotate mad maildir midi mp3 mp4 mpeg mpeg2 mudflap ncurses nls nptl nptlonly openmp oss pam pcre perl png posix ppc python quicktime readline realmedia rtc rtsp session smp snmp ssl stream syslog tcpd threads tiff unicode v4l v4l2 vhosts vorbis wma wmp x264 xattr xml xorg xpm xvid zlib" ELIBC="glibc" KERNEL="linux" USERLAND="GNU" VIDEO_CARDS="radeon r128 fbdev dummy" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS, PORTAGE_COMPRESS_FLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS g5encoder12 ~ # eix -I -n ssh [I] net-misc/openssh Available versions: 4.4_p1-r6 4.5_p1 4.5_p1-r1 4.5_p1-r2 4.6_p1-r2 4.6_p1-r3 ~4.6_p1-r4 4.7_p1-r1 {X X509 chroot hpn kerberos ldap libedit pam selinux skey smartcard static tcpd} Installed versions: 4.7_p1-r1(14:08:13 09/11/07)(-X -X509 chroot -hpn -kerberos -ldap -libedit pam -selinux -skey -smartcard -static tcpd) Homepage: http://www.openssh.com/ Description: Port of OpenBSD's free SSH release [I] sys-fs/sshfs-fuse Available versions: 1.6 (~)1.7 1.8 Installed versions: 1.8(15:12:30 09/11/07) Homepage: http://fuse.sourceforge.net/sshfs.html Description: Fuse-filesystem utilizing the sftp service. well, nice. Still an upstream bug and I cannot even debug it because I am not on ppc. If you want this to move forward look up how to debug a memory leak - should not be that hard - and give info back on the upstream bug or mailing list. Good luck :)
(In reply to comment #1) Will do. I'm, trying to get some patches for php-syslog-ng finished and then I'll get back to testing that. Can this at least be marked ~ppc for now? Thanks.
ppc team needs to do this
back to ~ppc.
