On my x86 box:

after upgrading to portmap-6.0 and restarting portmap service I get:

Christian, there are many reported cases (bugs, IRC) of this rpc.statd issue. We really shouldn't have marked this stable unless this gets resolved either by stabilizing new nfs-utils or locating the source of the bug and fixing it.
