I'm about to make some changes to the cryptsetup and cryptsetup-luks packages.
In effect I will be revving cryptsetup to 1.0.5 which will be cryptsetup-luks,
and eventually deprecating cryptsetup-luks. In order for this to work I need
you to change the crypt dep line in HAL to:

kernel_linux? ( crypt? ( || (>=sys-fs/cryptsetup-1.0.5
>=sys-fs/cryptsetup-luks-1.0.1 )))

if you don't have time or would prefer me to do it then please let me know.

i've made the changes in cvs for all effected versions.
