Description:   Opened: 2003-04-05 22:05 0000
The data files need to be in /usr/kde/3.1/share to be picked up by the rest of
KDE (menu,
configs, docs, etc).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. ebuild quanta
2. ls /usr/share/applnk
3. eek!
Actual Results:
I screamed.

Expected Results:
Installed those files to the /usr/kde/3.1 directories.

That's about it. There's a configure option I believe, --sharedir= or
something to set this (it's
been a while since I did it, myself).

------- Comment #1 From Michele Balistreri (RETIRED) 2003-04-14 11:39:11 0000 -------
all kde application out of kde-base category install their shared data in
/usr/share
while multiple version of kde can be on the same system
