net-p2p/gtk-gnutella-0.96.4 has been in the tree for almost a month, and has no open bugs, nor did any problems get reported upstream. Since 0.96.4 fixes some bugs that yield better performance and results over older versions, I'd like to ask for it to be stabilized.

I get absolutely no connections with 0.96.4. However, 0.96.3 works just fine.

How long did you let it run? It may take some time to get working connections. Also, do you see connection attempts in the connections screen?
I let it run for a couple hours. 0.96.3 typically gets 3 connections in less than a minute.
Alright, I just updated to 0.96.4 again and now it works.
I spoke too soon. I had three connections for a short while and then they were dropped. I let it run for a while to see if it would regain some connections but it didn't. I restarted it and let it run for a while again but it still didn't get any connections. I downgraded to 0.96.3 again, started it and got three connections within five seconds. Ivan, due to recent developments of the Gnutella network it's pretty much mandatory to have working UDP in addition to TCP, especially for bootstrapping, so the most likely cause is that your firewall blocks this UDP traffic. Please check if this is the case and open a separate bug if you still have problems, so that we can close this one once amd64 is also stable.
