Since freedesktop folks decided to stabilize KDE 3.5.7/Gnome 2.18 together with expat-2.0.1, this should go stable at the same time, it's another package that causes major borkage on upgrade (see Bug 185823 Comment #1, same reason for expat).

Recommend adding to stabilizing list: dev-python/pycurl-7.16.4 net-misc/icecast-2.3.1-r1.ebuild [alpha][bug 185967] dev-ml/ocurl-0.2.1 [x86 ppc] These versions earlier than these will break with curl-7.16.4. Recommend stabilizing these very soon after curl-7.16.4 so one revdep-rebuild gets them all.
ml peoples - please concent (or otherwise) to ocurl-0.2.1 targets: dev-python/pycurl-7.16.4 amd64 ppc ppc64 x86 net-misc/curl-7.16.4 alpha amd64 arm hppa ia64 mips ppc ppc64 s390 sh sparc x86 please clear arm mips and s390 off bug #184934 once the stabilization starts so they don't chew precious CPU cycles on two versions when the latest is satisfactory.
Arches, please stabilize net-misc/curl-7.16.4 and dev-python/pycurl-7.16.4 as given in comment #2. You should commit the stabilization as much as possible at the same time as the stabilizations in bug 187730 (expat-2.0.1), bug 176297 (KDE-3.5.7), and bug 185823 (GNOME-2.18) for maximum user convenience, because the expat and curl new versions break ABI and many GNOME and KDE packages - by doing it at the same time the user doesn't need to recompile so much, as he/she can do the upgrade and recompile at the same time then.
