Thanks. :)
"No way right now. Please check the tree and bugzilla, before asking arch teams for stabilization." USE="xcb" emerge kaffeine -pv These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies | !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy ">=media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.5" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.6 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) - media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.7 (masked by: ~amd64 keyword) For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or refer to the Gentoo Handbook. (dependency required by "media-video/kaffeine-0.8.4" [ebuild])
Please re-add arches once you've figured out what arches really are supposed to do here ...thanks.
media-video, can we get either of the following stabilised? media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.6 media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.7

Might want to get another opinion on this, from aballier or flameeyes. > media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.7 No, it breaks at least with dxr3 cards, possibly dvb cards. We have to skip stabilizing this version.

FYI, We are skipping both 1.1.6 and 1.1.7 and aiming at stabilizing xine-lib-1.1.8 where upstream has fixed various DVB issues and we have included a patch fixing issue with USE="dxr3". As it was just recently added to tree, we will wait for default (30 days) before proceeding.
Changing the summary to 0.8.5 and CC'ing arch teams as per drac's request.
