Description Christian Schmidt 2007-07-09 09:01:03 UTC
The last release of the omnibook module does not compile against current ~ sources due to an API change in the lcd backlight interface in 2.6.21.
The attached ebuild fetches the SVN version of the module, which works fine for me.

Reproducible: Always

SVN ebuild for the onibook module

I'm not going to add a svn ebuild of this package... but I'll see if I can create a fixed patch that works for 2.6.21 kernels.

Svn ebuild would be really nice, as almost every kernel upgrade from 2.6.21 up did break something. Now if you want to use omnibook, you have to download and install it by yourself.

In Portage as new package (omnibook-svn).

Thanks for the submission...

Thank you very much!
In fact I don't understand why it have to be separate ebuild (omnibook-svn) but it is what is the most important here.
