A patch required for inclusion into the glibc-2.6 patch-set to allow for computability with gcc-4.3

where did this patch come from ?  i dont see it in upstream

glibc will not compile without this patch

Er, I guess the right patch should be the patch to the configure script itself, unless the ebuild regenerates configure from configure.in. Simply adding the patch and the relevant epatch line to the ebuild does not fix the errors with the headers.
