Current portage version of trophy is hard masked because "Old and nasty. Not supported by upstream. use the newer versions of clanlib instead." -> Trophy has been updated some months ago and uses new clanlib versions. Development also seems to continue now. Reproducible: Always
Created an attachment (id=121805) [edit] trophy-1.1.4.ebuild Working ebuild.
Game is totally unplayable for me. The steering is so sensitive that the car just spins around in a circle at the slightest touch of the left or right arrow keys.
Created an attachment (id=129585) [edit] trophy-1.1.5-gentoo.patch Patch to make it no seg-fault during game
Created an attachment (id=129586) [edit] trophy-1.1.5.ebuild An ebuild for trophy 1.1.5 Well, I get no sound while playing, and a segfault on exiting from some routine that want to stop the sound. I'll stop hunting
Well , dependency are not correct in the ebuild. The game is playable but, as I said, no sound and then a 2nd segfault is too much
(In reply to comment #5) > Well , dependency are not correct in the ebuild. yep, even dev-games/clanlib-0.7.8-r2 is not enough, it needs 0.8 at least btw, would it be possible to reduce the package.mask to match only the old version, or, better to remove it at all and drop the old version in favour of the new one (I guess it is better to have unstable new version ~keworded than to keep old version masked ...)
