Description:   Opened: 2007-06-10 17:55 0000
Please stabilize the bind-9.4.1-r1. ARM, IA64, MIPS, and S390: please keyword
first.

This addresses #131337, which is a low-priority security issue.

------- Comment #1 From Jeroen Roovers 2007-06-10 21:38:36 0000 -------
IIRC, bind and bind-tools need to go stable together.

net-dns:bind-9.4.1-r1:20070610-231620.log

Fails to build on HPPA, apparently because some libidn headers cannot be found.

More specifically, the libidn version doesn't seem to matter:

Marked unstable on mips. Seems to have compiled fine, but I have no open
domains to test with.

alpha/x86 stable and keyworded ~ia64. Why you didn't request the re-keywording
before?

I'll leave ia64 in cc so we can stabilize it later.

------- Comment #8 From Jeroen Roovers 2007-06-12 14:50:59 0000 -------
After trying 9.4.1-r1 on x86 and hppa with several USE flag constellations, I
can only conclude that with many of them, bind fails to build because headers
cannot be found. One of those issues is described in comment #2 and the other
one in bug #181554. Without these issues being addressed, I can't see
~bind-9.4.1 going stable anywhere soon.

failed on amd64 too . posted the build.log and another log that emerge asked me
to post along with this one.
it seems to be the same headers can not be found problem as on the other
architectures.
