Giving a couple of days testin with the latest Kexi patch and then it can go stable imho.
Would it be better to stabilise KOffice 1.6.3 now that it has been in testing for over a month? There don't seem to be any outstanding bugs filed against it.
Good to go stable - been in testing for over a month with no outstanding bugs. Please mark monolithic and split koffice ebuilds stable. Marked stable on amd64.
Fucking amazing that *again* keywords were dropped without due notice to the relevant arch teams.
Not sure there is any need for swearing. I wasn't involved in the bump of the packages - what was dropped? Do you mean hppa as that is the only one I can see on the splits although I have no idea why. Anyone?
Restored hppa keywording for 1.6.[23]. --- ===Keywording on Upgrades=== When upgrading, drop all existing keywords from arch to ~arch, and leave any existing ~arch keywords intact. [...] Sometimes you may need to remove a keyword because of new unresolved dependencies. If you do this, you must file a bug notifying the relevant arch teams.[1] --- [1] http://devmanual.gentoo.org/keywording/index.html
I know the policy and would never drop keywords without filing a bug. Being a member of the amd64 arch team I have experienced the frustration of maintainers dropping keywords many times too. Like I said - I wasn't involved in the bump but wanted to get this new version stable.
(In reply to comment #7) > Like I said - I wasn't involved in the bump but wanted to get this new > version stable. I wasn't blaming anyone for anything... Rest assured that I will just go ahead and do a little testing before I stabilise for HPPA, in a few days' or weeks' time.

Also, an old 1.5.2 ebuild was making trouble and prevented a commit from completing, so I tried the manual approach (which resulted in what you are seeing) and then mail and CVS went offline so nothing could be done any longer. :\ I fixed it in CVS, so if you do an emerge --sync in about an hour, order should be restored.
(In reply to comment #10) Thanks! The work of all of you devs is greatly appreciated :-) Have fun, Jakomo
Sorry if I messed something up - compiled just fine here when I tested... Is everything working OK now? Did I have a bad tarball or something? If there is anything else I can do to help out let me know as I thought everything was just fine with digests etc.
(In reply to comment #12) > Sorry if I messed something up Only slightly, I guess. When you removed koffice-libs-1.5.2, you forgot to remove kplato-1.5.2 as well. In turn, that made repoman b0rk on my commit of a ~hppa keyworded kplato-1.6.2, so I tried to do it with a plain cvs commit. Then CVS went down and I couldn't even check whether it had gone right, but the Manifest had not been recommitted. So when CVS was back up, I removed the offending kplato-1.5.2.ebuild and fixed the Manifest. Meanwhile, mirroring to rsync had continued while CVS was down, so some users have seen some slight breakage due to the Manifest not having been commited...
Sorry guys - there were a lot of packages to manipulate. I thought it would be good to clean out all the old packages but was afraid of missing something. Thanks for fixing it up Jeroen.
