Well... I use different themes for almost every tty on my system. only 1+2 and 5+12 are sharing one theme. But now with the upgrade to splashutils-1.4.1, I can't set different themes anymore. It will set the right cfg (boxes, dimensions etc.) but not the picture! It only works on tty1. And the pic I chose there will be used for every tty. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. upgrade splashutils 2. try to set different themes on different ttys Actual Results: The pics in the other consoles won't change. Expected Results: splash_util should have set different pics for the different ttys
I upgraded to splash-utils-1.4.1 today after it went stable and I have this same problem. Downgrading to 1.1.9.10-r1 fixed it but I had to make some changes to the init.d script to get it to even run. Similar changes were needed in the 1.4.1 init.d script to get it to run as well. I did not record these because but I could reinstall 1.4.1 and try to capture them. Unfortunately this bug makes parts of the vconsole screens unreadable so it is a bit of a pain.
