I mailed with Roger about 0.1.2.13 and didn't notice it just got released today! Sorry for submitting a so-called "0day".

It contains *tons* of security/anonymity fixes, see the complete changelog:
http://archives.seul.org/or/announce/Apr-2007/msg00000.html

The bundles also ship with Vidalia 0.0.11. As Vidalia is in portage, this might cause problems, I just wanted to add that information here.

updated init.d script for tor 0.1.2.13

"tor --verify-config" now exits with -1(255) or 0 depending on whether the config options are bad or good.

patch for tor init.d script
Comment 5 Stefan Behte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev Security 2007-04-25 21:22:52 UTC
I wrote an updated init.d script which checks if the config file is ok before starting tor, you can now also use "/etc/init.d/tor checkconfig".
