There currently is no stable version of media-libs/exiftool, even though it is
a useful tool to tweak EXIF values in images from the command line.
media-libs/exiftool-6.81 has been in the tree for a month and has no open bugs,
so I guess this would be a good candidate for a stable version.

I was originally going to propose exiftool-6.57 as it has been in the tree for
much longer, but it also misses out on a lot of recent development that way and
it is probably better to pick up the process with a much more recent version.

Treeclean old versions while at it, ty!

I'm retired, please stop assigning bugs to me.

As for which version to stabilize, most are very stable, the new releases are
here mostly to keep up to date with the new cameras and exif fields that get
added all the time.

As mentioned in the original message I would like to request all affected
arches to consider stabilizing media-libs/exiftool-6.81.

Currently there are no stable versions at all, so I'm cc'ing all arches.
Obviously you can decide whether or not it makes sense to stabilize any version
at all depending on your policy.

Marked stable on amd64. It is a useful library for manipulating metadata.
