Description:   Opened: 2007-04-19 20:49 0000
By default an English template is installed only. Therefore I would like to
suggest to include the installation of the suitable German translation package
"Germzilla" automatically when requested by using use flags or an additional
ebuild.

Rico

Reproducible: Always

My German isn't terribly good -- how does one install this thing?

------- Comment #2 From Rico Poser 2007-05-27 10:00:08 0000 -------
Installation Procedure
----------------------

Preparation:
1. Depending on the bugzilla-version download the germzilla-package.
2. Determine the "bugzilla-directory" (where bugzilla is installed).
3. Ensure an existing subdirectory "template".

Installation:

Extract the downloaded Germzilla-Package into the template-directory so that a
new subdirectory "de" is created besides the existing "en" subdirectory there.

Postprocessing (valid for >=2.20.1 except 2.21.1):

1. Run the script "checksetup.pl" in the bugzilla-directory in order to compile
the language package.
2. Make bugzilla aware of germzilla. Therefore add the "languages" parameter
"de" separated with a comma on bugzilla's "editparams.cgi" page. If there are
no other language packages, the result should be "en, de". Do not change the
default language parameter.
3. Bugzilla now chooses the language depending on the user's browser setting.
