Please re-keyword the following ebuilds: app-editors/emacs-cvs-22.0.98 app-editors/emacs-cvs-22.0.9999-r10 (live CVS) app-editors/emacs-cvs-23.0.0-r6 (live CVS) They were tested in the Emacs overlay and moved to Portage now. For reference, the ChangeLog from the overlay is here: <http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/emacs/browser/emacs-overlay/app-editors/emacs-cvs/ChangeLog?rev=269>
Target keywords: 23.0.0-r6 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~sparc-fbsd 22.0.9999-r10 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~sparc-fbsd ~x86-fbsd 22.0.98 ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~sparc-fbsd ~x86-fbsd This can be tested in connection with bug 174884 (keywording for app-editors/emacs), if the eselect modules work (see the man page)

added ~amd64
~sparc'd.
added ~ppc64 P.S.: from app-editors/emacs-cvs-22.0.9999-r10: ls: cannot access ///usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/[0-9][0-9]*-gentoo.el: No such file or directory $ ls /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/ site-gentoo.el subdirs.el

Added ~ppc keyword. Sorry about the delay.
Sorry ppc, I have to add you again. We need the keyword for Emacs 22, too, since this is the version that will be officially released (hopefully) soon. See comment #1 for target keywords.
~ppc added by Chainsaw, thanks
Two version bumps and a new CVS branch in the mean time, so an update seems appropriate. Remaining target keywords: 22.0.990: ~sparc-fbsd ~x86-fbsd 22.0.9999-r10: ~sparc-fbsd ~x86-fbsd 23.0.0-r6: ~sparc-fbsd
BSD won't be keywording those anytime soon as non of the active members care enough about emacs to keyword CVS specific ebuilds as well as the non cvs ebuilds. If any of our users care that much then we will keyword.
I vote for caring! :) -Joe
(In reply to comment #13) > I vote for caring! :) > > -Joe Fair enough. Test each ebuild then :P
:) Yep, I am currently running 22.0.99 on x86-fbsd. It fixes at least one bug I saw (with code highlighting in case statements) in 22.0.97, so I think it should be keyworded. I cannot vouch for the other versions (hard-masked) listed here, but I can test later if this is valuable. -Joe
Versions 22.0.99, 22.0.990, and 22.0.9999-r10 should be pretty much identical, being the previous pretest, current pretest (from today) and live CVS. They are all made from the EMACS_22_BASE branch which is in feature freeze.
Any need to keyword these (x86-fbsd), now that emacs-22 has been released?
(In reply to comment #17) > Any need to keyword these (x86-fbsd), now that emacs-22 has been released? No, x86-fbsd is complete here, and emacs-22.1 already has the ~x86-fbsd keyword, too (thanks Diego). Bug is still open for sparc-fbsd, versions would be 22.1.50 and 23.0.0-r6 now: | s | | p p | | p a x | | c r 8 | | - c 6 | u | a a m p s - - | n | l m h i m m a p s p f f | u s | p d a p a 6 i p c c 3 a b x b | s l | h 6 r p 6 8 p p o 6 9 s r s 8 s | e o | a 4 m a 4 k s c s 4 0 h c d 6 d | d t ----------+---------------------------------+----- 22.0.97 | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ | 22 22.0.990 | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ | * 22.1.50 | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ | ----------+---------------------------------+----- 23.0.0-r1 | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ | 23 23.0.0-r6 | ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ |
I can't get the 23 version keyworded ~sparc-fbsd yet, it fails for me; but I'm testing 22.1.50 now. The 22.1 release is keyworded.
emacs-cvs-23.0.0-r6 (and -r1 too) still has build problems on sparc-fbsd ("temacs: Command not found"). I have removed 23.0.0-r1 today (was package.masked anyway), as discussed with flameeyes. emacs-22.1 and emacs-cvs-22.1.50 are keyworded ~sparc-fbsd, though.
Reopening for proper closing.
The ebuild for the emacs-cvs trunk (having all relevant keywords) has moved to version 23.0.50 today, following upstream. Only keyword that is still missing is ~sparc-fbsd for the unicode-2 branch (this is emacs-cvs-23.0.0-r7), but this doesn't pose any problems, and this version is hardmasked anyway. Therefore closing.
