# grep /nice /usr/portage/net-misc/asterisk/files/1.2.0/asterisk.rc6
                NICE="/bin/nice -n ${ASTERISK_NICE} --"

but nice seems not to be anymore in /bin but in /usr/bin.

ls -l /bin/nice /usr/bin/nice
ls: cannot access /bin/nice: No such file or directory
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 15524 Mar 25 11:37 /usr/bin/nice

Fixed in cvs, thanks for the headsup.
There'll be a verbump later today or tomorrow that'll force the init.d push,
atm you'd have to re-emerge.
