the ebuild says that glew is GPL-2. However the tarball includes a different
license in license.txt and also offers LGPL as an alternative in COPYING.txt

------- Comment #1 From Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) 2007-04-13 23:03:43 0000 -------
The licensing is derived from http://glew.sourceforge.net/credits.html. And
the ebuild states that more licenses than GPL-2 cover the code.

I also don't see license.txt or COPYING.txt in the tarball...

------- Comment #2 From Daniel Drake 2007-04-14 13:04:46 0000 -------
Apologies, I got confused. The package in question is actually media-libs/ftgl.
Is this something you take care of as well?

------- Comment #3 From Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) 2007-04-14 16:29:05 0000 -------
That looks like Games/Seemant's shtick.

------- Comment #4 From Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) 2007-08-18 00:23:23 0000 -------
So is LGPL acceptable or should we list both licenses?

------- Comment #5 From Mr. Bones. 2007-12-27 06:52:44 0000 -------
it's lgpl-2 unless you want to work something out with the author. It
shouldn't have been gpl-2 though so I changed that in portage.
