Description Chris Carlin 2007-04-02 05:19:30 UTC
This is a follow up to bug #156616 and is fairly pedantic; I'm not sure it even warrants opening a bug.

The homepage for supertab has changed to http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=1643 so it might be proper to update that in the 0.41 ebuild.

While 0.41 is available from either the old or new page, specifying the current page in the ebuild makes it easier for users to see that the package is still as alive as the script.

As the script download url changed, too, this IMO _is_ a bug.

old script download URL, v0.41 (old):
http://www.vim.org/scripts/download_script.php?src_id=5938
new script download URL, v0.41 (new):
http://www.vim.org/scripts/download_script.php?src_id=6114

Hm. I hadn't realized the two files were actually different. I just took it on faith that they were the same based on their labels.

The two differences between files are superficial: (5938 -> 6114 here)

- \ "Hit <CR> or CTRL-] on the completion type you wish to swith to.\n" .
+ \ "Hit <CR> or CTRL-] on the completion type you wish to switch to.\n" .
...
- \ "|<C-X><C-O>| - Occult completion.\n" .
+ \ "|<C-X><C-O>| - Omni completion.\n" .

Well, let the Gentoo VIM lords do what they will

The 0.41 version that I'm shipping now is identical to the one provided at the new homepage. I'll change the HOMEPAGE in the ebuild to point to the new script, though, so I'll know when a new version is released.

Vim lords? I'm the only one doing anything vim-related these days for Gentoo...

Anywho, thanks for the heads up. Fixed in CVS.
