Description Marcelo Goes (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-02 00:24:50 UTC
Hello,

A little over a month ago I bumped hugin to 0.6.1.
As you can tell by bug 141617, there seems to be a lot of
people interested in this package, so it would be nice
if we can get it marked stable.

Cheers,
Marcelo

x86 stable

I've marked it stable, but I couldn't get it to do anything useful without enblend. :p It probably shouldn't be a USE flag.
Comment 3 Hal Engel 2007-04-11 17:27:53 UTC
It will work without enblend. But enblend is very useful in that it basically extends the stitching engine to add better seam blending. But I think you are right that it should probably not be a use flag since almost everyone who uses hugin also uses enblend and enblend is very small.
Comment 4 Marcelo Goes (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-04-11 23:39:19 UTC
The rationale behind adding enblend and sift flags was that enblend and autopano-sift took a long time to compile (which includes pulling mono deps), and since hugin does not need them to work, to make them optional.

I agree, however, that most people want it anyway.
I supposed the warning in pkg_setup would suffice, but maybe we can change that back for enblend.

Anybody against it?

Cheers,
Marcelo
