why not? There's also a new upstream version available as of today (though it's
a total coincidence that I'm filing this at the same time)

------- Comment #1 From Patrick McLean 2007-03-28 14:48:20 0000 -------
sys-fs/fuse-2.6.3 needs to be stable first, I will CC the maintainer

------- Comment #2 From Markus Meier 2007-03-28 19:50:02 0000 -------
sys-fs/fuse-2.6.3
1. emerges on x86, please note:
   dodoc: README-2.4 does not exist
2. passes collision test
3. sys-fs/ntfs3g-1.0 emerges with it :)

sys-fs/ntfs3g-1.0 USE="-suid"
1. emerges on x86
2. passes collision test

both seem to work, but can't do a _real_ test as I don't have any ntfs
partitions. (btw: using it w/o problems on my unstable box)

fuse-2.6.3 sparc stable, though no ntfs3g for us, who would have a ntfs drive
on a sparc? (also no one asked for that).

It is getting very popular dropping FAT32 and to use external/portable NTFS
drives to change and move huge amount of data around physically (family videos,
high quality pictures, etc). The other typical use is data recovery, repair
because Windows becomes very often and quite easily unbootable.

Well, at least I remember how happy we've been 9 years ago to be able to handle
Mac HFS on Linux/x86 (we needed to do some urgent changes to the CD cover
design of a cool Hungarian band before going to press). Btw, and sparc is
getting popular again ;-)

both emerge and work fine on amd64 (I even got an ntfs partition to test it!)

fuse ppc stable, ntfs3g isn't keyworded at all.
