added xattr to IUSE in 6.7-r1/6.9 ... thanks

------- Comment #3 From Markus Rothe 2007-03-24 11:16:07 0000 -------
ppc64 stable

------- Comment #4 From Markus Rothe 2007-03-24 11:37:51 0000 -------
well.. back to ~ppc64. seems we have a small regression in the new version:

coreutils 6.4:
$ equery files coreutils | grep install
/bin/install
/usr/bin/install

coreutils 6.7-r1:
$ equery files coreutils | grep install
/usr/bin/install

and some installs fail (for example mysql-ruby-2.7.3):

>>> Install mysql-ruby-2.7.3 into /var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image/ category dev-ruby
mkdir -p
/var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image//usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/powerpc64-linux
/bin/install -c -m 0755 mysql.so
/var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image//usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/powerpc64-linux
make: /bin/install: Command not found
make: ***
[/var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image//usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/powerpc64-linux/mysql.so]
Error 127

x86 done

------- Comment #6 From Joe Jezak 2007-03-24 12:54:53 0000 -------
I think this is the bug that explains the /bin/install and ruby issue.
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159922

Mike, is this something that you want to block stabilization for?

------- Comment #7 From SpanKY 2007-03-24 21:28:19 0000 -------
there is no regression in the location of `install`, ruby is broken

the ruby team has known about this issue for quite a while, so i dont think
waiting on them will get the issue resolved any faster

------- Comment #8 From Markus Rothe 2007-03-25 09:32:52 0000 -------
ok. stable on ppc64--now really.

------- Comment #9 From Tobias Scherbaum 2007-03-25 11:30:10 0000 -------
ppc stable

------- Comment #10 From Jeroen Roovers 2007-03-26 04:22:40 0000 -------
Stable for HPPA.

------- Comment #11 From Marko Steinberger 2007-03-26 12:43:55 0000 -------
I had a little problem with the net.eth0 script in /etc/init.d . It refused to
establish my internet connection and complained about /bin/id been missing.
Looks like this one moved to /usr/bin . A simple softlink fixed it.

------- Comment #12 From Gustavo Zacarias (RETIRED) 2007-04-04 14:07:11 0000 -------
sparc stable.

------- Comment #13 From Christian Faulhammer 2007-04-06 22:15:15 0000 -------
amd64 stable

------- Comment #14 From Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) 2007-04-24 08:07:29 0000 -------
Mips done.
