added xattr to IUSE in 6.7-r1/6.9 ... thanks
ppc64 stable
well.. back to ~ppc64. seems we have a small regression in the new version: coreutils 6.4: $ equery files coreutils | grep install /bin/install /usr/bin/install coreutils 6.7-r1: $ equery files coreutils | grep install /usr/bin/install and some installs fail (for example mysql-ruby-2.7.3): >>> Install mysql-ruby-2.7.3 into /var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image/ category dev-ruby mkdir -p /var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image//usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/powerpc64-linux /bin/install -c -m 0755 mysql.so /var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image//usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/powerpc64-linux make: /bin/install: Command not found make: *** [/var/tmp/portage/dev-ruby/mysql-ruby-2.7.3/image//usr/lib64/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/powerpc64-linux/mysql.so] Error 127

I think this is the bug that explains the /bin/install and ruby issue. http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159922 Mike, is this something that you want to block stabilization for?
there is no regression in the location of `install`, ruby is broken the ruby team has known about this issue for quite a while, so i dont think waiting on them will get the issue resolved any faster
ok. stable on ppc64--now really.
ppc stable
Stable for HPPA.
I had a little problem with the net.eth0 script in /etc/init.d . It refused to establish my internet connection and complained about /bin/id been missing. Looks like this one moved to /usr/bin . A simple softlink fixed it.
sparc stable.
amd64 stable
Mips done.
