What version of libgeda do you have ? Also, please post the result of 'emerge info'.

Denis.

Hi,

libgeda can be compiled without errors (before geda) and is at version 20070216, the last version I had is version 20060123.
Comment 4 Denis Dupeyron (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-14 21:08:55 UTC
OK, thanks for the information, I think I have nailed the issue. Could you please give me the result of 'emerge -vp gd' to be sure ?

I need to make quite a few compilations, though, to be able to fix the ebuild in a clean way, so it will take some time (my machine is slow).

Until then, and as a workaround, you can add "jpeg png xpm" to your USE flags (or add a line for media-libs/gd in /etc/portage/package.use with those flags), then re-emerge gd, re-emerge libgeda, and finally you can emerge geda.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Denis.

Hi,

first: Thanks for your super speedy help!

Here's the result of emerge --vp gd:

# emerge -vp gd

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] media-libs/gd-2.0.34 USE="-fontconfig -jpeg -png -truetype -xpm" 0 kB

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB

OK, that confirms what I suspected: the support for those image formats isn't optional anymore. The workaround should work.

I'll fix that ASAP.

Denis.

Now, it works great.

Thanks!
Sebastian
Comment 8 Denis Dupeyron (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-15 21:52:52 UTC
I have checked all image formats, and only png isn't optional anymore. This is now fixed in CVS, so give it a few hours to reach a mirror near you.

Thanks for reporting this bug.
Denis.
