Hi, we of the haskell team are in the process of adding a new version of the Glasgow Haskell Compiler into the tree, version 6.6. There as been a major restructure of haskell libraries; many of the libraries are no longer bundled with the compiler, and will now be represented as individual packages in the tree. To model that behaviour we have created dummy libraries, that fits ghc-6.4, and soon we'll add real libraries that fits ghc-6.6. An important thing to note here is that these libs we ask to get stabilized doesn't install anything. The functionallity is already provided by ghc-6.4. You can read more about our plan to move ghc-6.6 into portage here: http://www.haskell.org/~gentoo/gentoo-haskell/projects/GHC-6.6-launch.html What we need is to get these packages marked as ~arch or arch for the various arches that ghc supports. I'm posting this as one request, as it is the same for all packages. The packages in question: dev-haskell/fgl-5.2 dev-haskell/mtl-1.0 dev-haskell/haskell-src-1.0 dev-haskell/html-1.0 dev-haskell/hunit-1.1 dev-haskell/network-1.0 dev-haskell/quickcheck-1.0 This is what we request of each arch team: We'd like all arches get the same masking as ghc-6.4* has, ie: Mark the above libraries as ~arch in these arches: alpha ia64 x86-fbsd and stable in these arches: amd64 hppa ppc ppc64 sparc x86 We're aware of that these packages just went into portage and it normally takes 30 days. We've already tested them with x86 and amd64 and found that they work fine. Once you've checked that you're happy with them, please consider making them stable a bit sooner than usual. If you disagree, you're welcome back to this bug in 30 days. :) Thanks a bunch!
x86 gone stable
sparc done.
Stable for HPPA.
ppc64 stable
~ia64 done.
Marked ppc stable.
amd64 done, will take a look at ~x86-fbsd keywording tomorrow
~x86-fbsd all finished :) Reassigning to alpha as they're the only arch left...
Added ~alpha keywords.
