Additionally you may consider providing an ebuild for the latest stable
version: 0.9.16a:

PS: Simply bumping the ebuild version worked here.

0.9.17 compiled, but strigi-0.3.11 did not compile against it.
So for strigi-0.3.11 clucene-0.9.16a is needed.
