(In reply to comment #2) > > checking Python bindings for gnome... configure: error: > **** The python bindings for gnome 2.0 (gnome2-python) could not be found. See bug 165508. The OP never answered my question there and I havent been able to duplicate it, so please post emerge --info on there as well, and if you had gnome-python installed already. Thanks
sparc stable.

BTW: 2.2.7 is out
The configure script is whacked on this thing (2.2.7), and I can't figure it out. If someone wants to post an ebuild, I'll be glad to look at it. It's a little beyond my abilities right now.
Created attachment 120420 [details] ebuild for 2.2.7 This is worked for me
GRAMPS 2.2.8 has just been released.
(In reply to comment #10) > Created an attachment (id=120420) [edit] > ebuild for 2.2.7 > > This is worked for me > For me, too. And just changing the filename to 2.2.8 worked as well. Should be added to portage.
So, as 2.2.8 runs for over a month here without problems, it should go into the official portage tree, IMHO. Could someone do this please?
Alright, well the build problems were related to other borkage on my test box, so we are good to go after all. Bumped in CVS, thanks guys. Please open a new bug if you have problems building / running. Thanks
