Description Massimiliano Adamo 2007-03-03 14:06:32 UTC
During installation I get the following error message:
 * ati tree 'lib' -> 'lib32' on system
sed: can't read /usr/lib32/opengl/xorg-x11/lib/libGL.la: No such file or directory

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. perhaps only on AMD64
2. emerge =x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.34.8

Actual Results:
really don't know which applications can be affected. Googleearth doesn't start, but I am not pretty sure if this is the root cause.

I use AMD64 and ati-drivers-8.34.8 was installed totally OK. So, this bug is reproducible not always.
Comment 3 Mykhaylo Kopytonenko 2007-03-04 21:56:07 UTC
Oh, I'm terribly sorry, this bug indeed is reproduced on my system too. I have found the same error message about sed.

This line in the ebuild should be removed as it does nothing and has never done anything that a users would see. It should be removed when next release is put into the tree.

I've removed the sed in 8.36.5, since it is not obviously sane even with this issue fixed. If this causes issues please file a new bug.
